i asked my auntie, and here is her reply:

Well, in Japnese language there is no plural for anything. So, one bird , two bird, etc. Japanes put the number before the object. so two daughers in Japanese is two daughter. just put 2 in front of "Musume" (daughter).

I'll be using the symbol. So Musume will not be the tattoo. Just the symbol. There is a symbol for 2 in the front of Kanji and Kana I think. I must look. Thanks, Reiko! Rachel just had symbols for father and mother, and husband put on her inner arm. Looks great. I'll get her to post it. If I knw How, I would!
